Our Story
About
Greenscapes was founded in Naples, Florida, in 1962. What started as a small local landscaping company has grown into one of the largest commercial landscape management firms in Southwest Florida, now employing nearly 250 professionals during peak season.
For over six decades, we’ve remained rooted in the same community we’ve always served. We know Southwest Florida’s subtropical climate, native plant species, pest pressures, and soil conditions because this is our home. That local expertise is something no franchise or national corporation can replicate.
Growth through partnership
In 1991, when Greenscapes was still a small operation with just a couple of crews. We built the company into a regional leader with more than 30 specialized crews serving properties from Marco Island to Charlotte County.
In March 2020, Greenscapes joined the Sperber Landscape Companies family. This partnership brings additional resources and national-level support while preserving everything that makes Greenscapes unique.
Commitment to professional standards
Our commitment to professional standards is reflected in our team’s credentials. Greenscapes employs ISA Certified Arborists, FNGLA Certified Horticulture Professionals, State Certified Pest Control Operators, and WaterStar Certified irrigation specialists. Our team maintains Best Management Practices (BMP) certification through the University of Florida’s Green Industries program.
These certifications aren’t just credentials on a wall. They represent our commitment to science-based landscape management—from soil-sample-based fertilization programs to irrigation systems optimized with smart sensors and weather data.

Greenscapes specializes in commercial landscape management for homeowner associations, condominium communities, and commercial properties throughout Collier, Lee, and Charlotte counties. We understand that in community management, you’re not just maintaining landscapes—you’re protecting property values and creating environments where people want to live and work.
Our clients include some of Southwest Florida’s most prestigious properties, and many of whom have been with us for decades. We’ve earned that loyalty by treating every property as if it were our only client.
